Thanks for you support.

What sort of CDROM and HD do you have? IDE CDROM and SATA disk?

Your hard drive is failing. Back up all documents and data ASAP.

Kind regards,
Andreas Stieger

Exactly…

but I’ve been using opensuse 11.1 for almost 3 months and had not seen these messages until just days ago…

Maybe AndreasStieger is right… i will try to backup all my stuff

Those messages seem to indicate a faulty CD/DVD drive. Try disconnecting it. Or it could be worse, your motherboard interfaces dying.

But yes, backup your data first.

Now you mention about de CD/DVD drive, checking the date of logs when began to fail, i remembered that in the same day I was with a friend trying out some nvidia cards on my motherboard. I will shut down my pc and open it to verify that everything is connected properly …

I will report if something is loose on my pc.

Really, thank you very much,

Indeed!!, the message in message.log no longer appears. Just unplug and plug again all the cables on my pc and the message disappeared.

Thank you very much for the support guys.
