weird as hell connection issue

if i boot laptop on battery power, internet works fine. but if i boot with ac charger connected i get a kind of partial connection in that can only browse a few websites (others wont load), cant connect to msn or repositories. ping works fine but just cant seem to download any data.

Hi
Are you connecting via a router to the internet? If you run the
following command booting on battery, then on power and post the
output of both;


sudo /sbin/ethtool eth0

This is assuming eth0 is your connection, just change it if it’s a
different one.

sorry, had some trouble recreating the problem. it comes and goes :confused:

im at uni atm so on their network, but i had some problem at home and other places.
