Hi all,
I have the problem that Jitsi applications are not working anymore in both Firefox an Chromium. https://test.webrtc.org/ results in multiple fails in the video part. I can join Jitsi sessions, see myself but neither head not see the others, some the other way round.
In the journal I see for Firefox
Sep 18 09:52:37 medan kernel: Socket Process[27062]: segfault at 0 ip 000055eaaa29473e sp 00007ffcf7510cc0 error 6 in firefox[55eaaa286000+78000]
Maybe https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1190141 is related to this issue?
In Chromium the test at https://test.webrtc.org/ fails at the start with
Failed to access your computer’s camera and microphone (NotReadableError: Could not start audio source).
Firefox and other programs like VLC themselves can open the webcam fine, e.g. demonstrated by https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/gum/ or the join-screen of Jitsi. So the issue must be something WebRTC related I guess, but why does it affect two different browsers at the same time then?
Unfortunately I can’t say what update caused the failure since I wasn’t sure that the issue was on my host when it first appeared. I can only remember that I had the problem already last week, I neither have that old snapper snapshots to test previous FF version nor old enough kernels.
Does anyone else experience similar issues?
cheers
