I attempted to purchase from the web store advertised right on the front web page for openSuse. I did not get very far before I realized that the site was about to take my debit card info *without encryption. *There are apparently two contacts: One is Spreadshirt, an outfit that creates and sells similar items over the web on their own store and the other is Michael Löffler, SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Nürnberg, DE (Germany). I can’t really tell who the actual authority is in this and there is no reason why this store should not use encryption. This is fundamental e-commerce from my perspective. I’m afraid to buy anything from there and they are the only outfit that I know to be allowed to sell stuff with your artwork, at least for folks in the US.

Thanks for this information - Michael is probably the best person to
contact initially, based on that information.

You can force use the https page instead:
https://shop.opensuse.org/
But the page is then incomplete, only the box appears, not the the “gear”.
Weird. Very weird.

(from 13.1 x86_64 “Bottle” at Telcontar)
The main page uses an <iframe> to hold the actual product information, and that is pointed to http://160936.spreadshirt.com/ but if you go to https://160936.spreadshirt.com/ the products show up too.
So maybe it has something to do with the main page being accessed via “https://” and the iframe content via “http://” that is causing the problem. I usually see something pop up asking whether I want to see unsecure content or not (that may be in IE though).
I was able to put a product in, and proceed to checkout from the not-in-frame https:// page and it stays in https:// so chances are you could use that to make your purchase securely. Whether the checkout goes from http:// to https:// I don’t know…
