yea ive nvidia with last current driver… I have recently updated first …
what can i do to restore .???
Thanks for the info. I’m delaying updating on machine with nvidia graphics.
On 32bit machine, with ATI radeon graphics driver, KDE 4.5.3 (KDE 4.5.3) “release 8”, there is not problem.
Also no problem with 64 bit and ATI fglrx graphics driver.
I updated a PC to KDE4.5.3 with nvidia graphics but used the 256 version of the driver and have no problems. Install the older driver unless you must have the latest for a specific reason.
I upgraded my suse 11.3 from kde4.5.2 to kde4.5.3 with nvidia graphics 8600M GT and drivers nvidia 260.19.12. Everything run soft
in the thread discussing the problem (posted by Lord_Emsworth) there is the thought that it’s a 32bit issue (possibly), I can only say that 4.5.3 (factory) 64bit and 260.19.12 run fine for me on a 9500gt card
nothing to do with the cat…>:(
I tried to downgrade to nvidia driver 170 but with no positive results .
and tried also to install again from binaries at Nvidia official site but i find only current 260.19.12 >:)>:)>:)
170 appears to be false. Wouldn’t you need 256.53? From NVidia you can get them here:
NVIDIA DRIVERS 256.53 Certified ← 32bit
NVIDIA DRIVERS 256.53 Certified ← 64bit
But you would have to install them the “hard way” as described here: SDB:NVIDIA the hard way - openSUSE
or here: Nvidia for Newbies part 1
But check that carefully.
I upgraded to KDE 4.53 r8 with 2.6.19 nVidia driver and have no problems at alllol!
My Graphics card is nVidia GTS 240S
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for answer dear friend
but i mean we must look ahead and downgrading not aligned with this philosophy … i look for a resolution of probelm ,
never seen that one can not use a distro for a bug so…
I also use an Nvidia card - the GeForce 8600 GTS. Recently, I updated to KDE 4.5.3 “release 8”.
This was followed by an update of Nvidia drivers from 256.53 to 260.19.12.
No problems and no crashes.
Good Luck!
