hi I use opensuse 13.1 in my laptop but when the battery is low, the my laptop turns off…
can I obtain a warn when the battery is low before that it turns off?

Which desktop environment?
If gnome-shell you can set via the dconf-editor org->gnome->settings-deamon->plugins->power or via gsettings (same schema) from the command line.
