Wanted to boot 11.1 with 2.6.34-35 and had few problems

Dear All.
I wanted to check 2.6.34-35 with OpenSuse 11.1.
I downloaded kernel.
Installed it with --noscripts.
Made initrd, because there wasn’t any. mkinitrd told that “modules.dep” is absent, and it is true. I am not sure, should it be in /lib or not?
Second. My 11.1 boots from:
root=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD1200BEVE-00WZT0_WD-WXEY07N20629-part2 resume=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD1200BEVE-00WZT0_WD-WXEY07N20629-part1

I do not know is it right or not, but it works:
Trying manual resume from /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD1200BEVE-00WZT0_WD-WXEY07N20629-part1
Invoking in-kernel resume from /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD1200BEVE-00WZT0_WD-WXEY07N20629-part1
Waiting for device /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD1200BEVE-00WZT0_WD-WXEY07N20629-part2 to appear: ok
fsck 1.41.1 (01-Sep-2008)

When now I boot with 2.6.34 kernel it also:
Waiting for device /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD1200BEVE-00WZT0_WD-WXEY07N20629-part2 to appear: …
but it never got it.

Question is why?

Thanks.

Awful forum, never going to use OpenSuse myself again and never suggest to no one.

I have managed to boot 2.6.34-36.
Screen picture worse then on 2.6.27, glxgears - rotation is not smooth, Google Earth also with big lags even mouth cursor over its window moves slow.
I am not sure that it supposed to work better, but thanks, I fed up with you all.
Going to use Fedora.

Thanks.
Bye.
