Novell is only interested in large corporations …we have been evaluating SLED 10 for a while and now wish to pay to continue using linux ( its very easy to go back to w/doze )…but no …tried to register /activate /renew/ the d/l version requested telephone call to discuss my requirements …very simple we only have 2 pc s and we are not a business but have used linux as the main OS for 5 years and enjoy using linux and SLED … if Novell do not wish the personal user to support them …just tell us …something please …!
BTW OpenSUSE is not SLED, but you knew that right? There are forums for SLES/D at forums.novell.com, have you tried searching there?
Hi
Just go to the novell shop and purchase an activation code? (That’s all
I did almost 3 years ago) May be worthwhile to wait for the 11
release, request a temporary key via the download site?
Then logon to the Novell Customer Centre and delete the current machines
from your systems page. Then re-register the machines via YaST NCC
with the new activation code.

FWIW, you can purchase online. From the Novell SLED page, select Buy Now and follow the links to the online store.
You can purchase either the standard license, or one with support. TBH, I don’t think there will be any volume discount for two licenses, so you’ll probably pay the same ordering online or purchasing direct.
Hope this helps…
Cheers,

When last did you try buying windows directly from M$? I should imagine Novell is the same - they pass your details to a local reseller to contact you - they don’t sell it directly.
Suse has the advantage in that you can buy it directly online and get an activation code immediately!
Try that with most windows products: Nobody sells just the activation code for Vista or XP (not legally, anyway)
