I am running openSUSE 11.1 Gnome version. I want to change the default
sounds that play when you login, etc. I need help changing to new sounds
as I cannot find a way to do it

Go to Control Center → Sound
Select “Login” and click “Default” in front of it.
From the menu click “Custom” and choose a sound file to play at login.
Note: The sound file should be small, like around 10 sec.
