11.1 with KDE 4.1
For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to set different wallpaper on
each desktop. Can anyone fill me in?

Hi. Unfortunately KDE4 still lacks this feature. I’m confident that we will see it again because it has lots of votes in the KDE bugtracker https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155150 and a high ranking in the wishlist.
