Wacom Bamboo Tablet in VirtualBox / Opensuse host

Hey, first I have to say i’m loving opensuse so far, I come from ubuntu and i’ve tried other distros. This seems the most stable yet, I find ubuntu just changes things wayyyy too often and constantly breaking stuff!!

Ok so back to topic; I know in virtual box on ubuntu host if I disable the mouse in virtualbox (ubuntu host/winxp guest) the tablet will work.

2 questions:

  1. Do I need to disable the mouse too in virtualbox for this opensuse (host) setup?

  2. Do I need to enable the tablet first in YaST or shouldn’t you do that if your going to use it in virtualbox??

Thanks in advance for any help, I read the Wacom USB howto already but it doesn’t mention about using with virtualbox… hence this post.

Hi,
i use a Wacom BAMBOO tablet.

This works for me:

  1. make your tablet work in openSUSE
  2. install guest extensions for Virtual box guest from devices-menu

Tablet works in opensuse and xp guest.
