I am running OpenSuse 11.4 with a wireless adapter. When I try to launch the VPN connection I get a message “The VPN connection ‘XXXX’ failed because the VPN service failed to start”. The error message comes instantly. I am using a PPTP client configured with MPPE and Allow Deflate data compression. I know the settings are 100% correct because I copied them from another system running 12.1 that is working fine. Attached is a copy of what’s in var->log->NetworkManager.
