VMware-Workstation 6.5.3 x86_64 fails to install

VMware-Workstation 6.5.3 x86_64 fails to install on openSUSE 11.2 M8. The rpm just hangs at:

and the bundle hangs about 62%. Any ideas on diagnosing the hang or a work-around?

Not of much help, but anyway…
I’m just in the middle of the installation process and it’s hung as well. I have it successfully installed in 11.2M7 and it worked just fine after the system upgrade to M8, but now this is a clean installation of M8 and it is frozen in the middle of the installation.

Here’s the solution to hanging on install.

Ah, what a kludge

But it works, thanks!

“killing script” didn’t work for me on 11.2, but trick with changing make to /bin/true for installation worked like charm
