VMware Server 2.0

Did anyone get it to work on 11.1 (64bit)? I tried a lot of patches and any-any updates found on the web, but it always fails compiling the vmmon module.

There is probably a slight difference in the kernel configuration between the
set of C header files you specified and your running kernel. You may want to
rebuild a kernel based on that directory, or specify another directory.

Hi Uwe
Have you see this one?

I have the same issue with bluetooth and the 32bit pae kernel, hence I
drop back to the default and it’s fine…

Seems to be a different beast, I am on the default kernel.
Thanks!

Uwe

Consider switch to Virtualbox… it can use your vmware files, it’s open source and opensuse got always the releases in time including the kernel modules.

I switched after i upgraded to 11.1 beta

Working on it, but the virtual XP box doesn’t start yet. It plain hangs.

Problem is, I need the client at work
