vlc

is there vlc player available in openSUSE12.2???:expressionless:

Off course there is.
You can follow this guide here http://forums.opensuse.org/content/127-multimedia-restricted-formats-installation-guide-12-2.html
This will install vlc as well codecs and alternate players such as smplayer on your machine.

i tried this link…when adding the basic package as said in step3 its give message mentioned below

k3b-codecs-2.0.2-15.50.i586 requires k3b = 2.0.2-15.50, but this requirement cannot be provided
uninstallable providers: k3b-2.0.2-15.50.i586[packman]
Solution 1: downgrade of k3b-2.0.2-22.1.2.i586 to k3b-2.0.2-15.50.i586
Solution 2: do not install k3b-codecs-2.0.2-15.50.i586
Solution 3: break k3b-codecs-2.0.2-15.50.i586 by ignoring some of its dependencies

what shall i do now?

Accept Solution 1. That installs Packman’s version instead of the openSUSE version. It’s known as a change in vendor, and it needs your approval first.

Use solution 1, it will switch your k3b to the packman version (which is
not older, both are 2.0.2 it just has a lower build number which is
normal when comparing different repositories).
