I have openSUSE 12.1 64 bit KDE installed and VLC plays files but with no sound. Is this a known issue?

Actually the latest software update seemed to solve the problem. Cheers anyway.
The VLC package from the packman repo for opensuse 12.1 (64-bit) gave no sound for me. I played with the various audio output settings, but none worked.
I used the VLC 1-click install option from VideoLAN - VLC media player for openSUSE and VLC then worked with sound as normal on default settings.
Hi, I had the same issue of no sound on VLC, I just recently installed pulse support for both xine and vlc, now I have sound
Hope this helps you!
