VLC video quality for DivX files

Hi,
How can I adjust best quality with VLC?
Currently, I have not a very good quality with divx files.

what do you mean by “adjust best quality”? the quality of a DivX file depends on how it was encoded. A player will not automagically fix it if the file was encoded in a bad way. What it can do though, is apply some postprocessing to it so that it will become a bit more watchable in case the file is blocky.

I’m not sure if VLC supports it as I don’t use this crappy player, but look for deblocking filters. Also, if the image quality is too soft, look for a sharepning filter

VideoLAN uses libpostproc for postprocessing, but it is disabled in the 0.9.0 version… I don’t know if it’s already fixed in the latest 0.9.x version.
