VLC media player not working in 13.2a

Hello,

I am new to OpenSUSE and Installed 13.2 as my primary OS in my laptop. I am not able to play any video format using VLC media player? Could you please help me solve this issue . i dont want to move to other distro just for this reason

Add the Packman repo (YaST->Software Repositories->Add->Community Repositories) and install the package “vlc-codecs”.

Do you maybe have the VLC (VideoLAN) repo as well? Then remove it. If you mix it with Packman, you will have problems.

In any case, try to do a “full repository vendor change update” to Packman:
https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Vendor_change_update#Full_repository_Vendor_change

This will make sure that all packages fit together, and will even replace other applications you might have installed with full multimedia-enabled versions.
