vlc installation

I run openSUSE 11 on an i686 machine without an Internet connection. I got all the packages for vlc at videolan site and insstalled all of them without dependencies. VLC works, but only as root, and I don’t hear audio when I play. Can anyone help me solve this, or help me find a n rpm for VLC? Thanks for the help.

VLC is in the packman repo,or use Webpin to find it.

Andy

One click for vlc from packman

if you are using the packman repositories for other packages, do not use the vlc repositories as well…
There was problems with using both repositories for vlc.

True. But you do need libdvdcss from vlc repo
