VLC/DVD issues

I’ve installed pretty much everything from here:
download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/SuSE/11.0
and I can play DVD’s but they look tripple. Thoughts?

Oh yeah, I’m running Suse 11.0 and I’m using Gnome.

You may want to enable DMA for your DVD drive.

You may want to enable DMA for your DVD drive.

YaST/Modules/IDE DMA Mode - openSUSE
Restricted Formats/11.0 - openSUSE-Community[/QUOTE]

Hmm, I’ll give that a try though this almost feels like a bad codec. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

OK, I had already followed the restricted formats instructions and now I enabled the DMA. No change.

I would suggest to uninstall all packages from the VLC repo and use Packman instead, though this is just based on my experience/preferences and I don’t think there is any problems with the VLC repo as such. But combining those repoes is not recommendable. I don’t know if you have enabled the Packman repo as well?
