Vivaldi and onlyoffice Native apps are must

Vivaldi is one of the best browser when a chromium based browser is needed and onlyoffice is the only solustion for many spreadsheet and many office file formats. Please add vivaldi and onlyoffice to the repos and even tradingview rpm does not work with SUSE, I loved this Linux but I miss many things (oh my just because I didn’t liked the ugly gecko logo, I never tried this and was using debian though very stable very difficult to get an actual FDE, for so long), I don’t want flatpaks in some cases like for tradingview, flatpak is ok, but not for vivaldi and onlyoffice, in the flatpak version there are still so many troubles to use smoothly. This will be a big help.

I appreciate the whole effort to create this wonderful and stable rolling distro.

There is already a fully fledged and supported office suite available in openSUSE. It is called LibreOffice. And there seems to be a valid reason why nearly all linux distributions prefer LibreOffice over OpenOffice.

For your other apps, find somebody who maintains and submit them to factory. Or become yourself a maintainer.

Neither Vivaldi, Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome is fully Open Source. Therefor OpenSUSE cannot add them to its own OBS repositories.

They all have their own Repository you can add to OpenSUSE
Vivaldi: https://repo.vivaldi.com/archive/rpm/x86_64
Microsoft: https://packages.microsoft.com/yumrepos/edge/
Google: https://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/x86_64

I wonder why Opera is in the repos? Is Opera now fully Open Source?

I see yes Opera is available. Strange.
Although it is not built from source, but from an RPM (probably by someone manually downloading it from Opera).

It is not the latest version of Opera. OpenSUSE has 121.0.5600.50-1.3, while the latest version for download is 127.0.5778.76.

Then maybe similar could be done for the others (Vivaldi, Chrome, Edge), by downloading the RPM, and repackage it for OpenSUSE. However maintainers need to constantly download the latest RPM and update the OBS to build new versions. Maybe that explains why it has not been updated to latest version.

Vivaldi provides repo and RPM packages.
What else do you want?

OnlyOffice, not OpenOffice.

Flatpak, AppImage, Snap package are available.

I do not want anything.
I was ansering bejoy123 who started this discussion. He mentioned that Opera is in OBS, but not Vivaldi. And I gave a suggestion that OBS could do with Vivaldi like it does with Opera.
For me it makes no difference, since I install Vivaldi through Vivaldis own repository.

OBS should instead just remove Opera, and users can get it through Operas own repository, like we do for Vivaldi, Chrome and Edge.

Thankyou all , I am new to OpenSUSE, I was using debian for long, usually i downloaded the deb package of the trusted apps and installed it, but I found out on SUSE that vivaldi repos can be added and that the rpm version onlyoffice for centos repos can be added and is working fine… since all those around me use excel so onlyoffice gives better compatiability to xlsx formats… Very active forum, openSUSE is really underrated…
