My bank require a virus program installed on my laptop, (Toshiba M30) in order to take responsibility, in case of theft of my passwords or other info. in my computer.
Now it looks like all virus programs offered by OpensSuse for OpenSuse 11.0 needs Dazuko.
To install and compile Dazuko, as it’s not supported by OpenSuse, it’s above my competence.
How shall i proceed? Is there any way to install virus protection without Dazuko including GUI.

You can install dazuko through Software Management as it is in the OSS repo already.
Well, I’ve tried, but it doesn’t work.

The install doesn’t work or dazuko doesn’t work?
Dazuko doen’t compile in to the Kernel 2.6.25.9-0.2.
As I understand there are some changes in the kernel, which makes Dazuko to fail.

Are you compiling on your own or are you installing from the repos?

I don’t understand why you are concerned about Dazuko. If it’s required by
the antivirus program as a dependency, it gets installed automatically when
you install the antivirus anyway.
Go to YAST, Software. Search for antivirus. Clamav will show up. Check it
and install it. Mine installed fine, didn’t find any missing dependencies.
Next, you may have to enable it under your email program. With KDE, and
Kmail, just go tools and activate the AntiVirus Wizard. I have no idea how
you do it with Gnome desktops.

A other option is to use Avast virus scanner
Use it for some time in suse
It seems to his job

Thank you all for for your proposals.
In order to allow antivirus program to run, on-line scanning, dazuko is needed.
After have poking around little I’ve found out that dazuko is not supported any more, see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=401920.
Even after compiling the kernel, as described, it won’t work
