Have you created the VirtualBox kernel module? Assuming you have the kernel source installed, enter
/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
Also be sure you have been added to the vboxusers group.
i already do
/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
but still. but i’m not sure about adding vboxusers.
any command to add vboxuser? I’m sorry i’m really newbie in Linux
Thanks
By the way,
I already add VboxUsers. But still cannot launch.
is there another setting i should mention
thank
What happens if you try to start VirtualBox from the terminal/console? Note that it’s case-sensitive.
Check thru this
VirtualBox Installation - openSUSE
I would recommend adding the OSE repo
for 11.1: Index of /repositories/Virtualization:/VirtualBox/openSUSE_11.1
I have the same problem.
Virtualbox is a no-start.
Added the repo but it offered nothing new.
Anybody know a better way to get VirtualBox working?
My plan is to remove everything and look for the Sun link and install the n-ose and try again.
Xen didn’t start for me either.
i have same problem.
after add vboxusers i restart my account and work’s
Hi everyone,
why don’t you try to install the rpm package from the VirtualBox site, instead using the OSE version?
I had the same problem as you do and now is working fine.
Although I found some things interesting that I want to share.
VirtualBox works great with kernel 2.6.27.21-0.1, take caution when upgrade your kernel… I upgraded for 2.6.27.23 and then I got troubles.
