Virtualbox fullscreen on wayland host

With KDE6 out now and it defaulting to wayland I was wondering if anybody has gotten virtualbox running properly in full-strength mode ? (Windows 10 client)

Keyboard seems to work fine but the mouse does not, first click seems to work but after that nothing. Tried the -platform xcb option and QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb. Which both do the same as far as i can tell and make it run fullscreen but behind the kde6 task bar which is not really workable.

Of course I can login plasma6/x11 or run windowed when I need to use it but figured I can’t be the only person with this, so maybe I am missing something obvious

Regards Xil

I’m not sure what is meant by ‘full-strength mode,’ Xilanaz, but, FWIW, I haven’t had any trouble using a Windows 7 client in VirtualBox under KDE6 Wayland.

Fullscreen mode, sorry autocorrect

I will spend a bit of time on it tommorow then, must be me then.

tried again just now.

after the 1st click in fullscreen on anything inside the running virtualbox not a slingle click will register. Keyboard works. Switching back to windowed won’t fix it but I can drag the window so that mouse click works.

Even clicking on the Virtualbox GUI after that won’t work anymore, only thing I can do is click the X and use the keyboard (not the mouse as that won’t register at all) to select shutdown. After that the Virtualbox GUI works again also.

So right now I got no clue.

Problem solved, for those that run into the same issue:

Virtual Box, Settings, User Interface, turn off the mini Tool bar.

Works perfectly so far (fingers crossed)
