Due new hardware (thinkpad T470) i’m forced to use kernel 4.11.
let’s say that the standard 4.4.62 is not showing me wifi and others, i did direct a upgarde to teh latest and it’s working fine.
But i don’t find virtualbox for this latest kernel, who can point me the right direction?
I do not quite get the initial post, i.e. it was not clear to me whether was 4.11 or 4.4.62 giving him or her problems or was Virtualbox giving him issues. As a general observation on my end, Virtualbox 5.1.18 works perfect with 64 bit OpenSUSE 42.2 Leap and 4.4.57-18.3-default linux kernel.
it was the kernel of standard leap 42.2 for the “T470” that give me no good display, no bluetooth and wifi.
Direct after install of 42.2, i decided to upgrade the kernel to “the latest” (kernel 4.11), after that i was able to wifi and others.
But i did not found direct a repositorie for virtualbox that fits the latest kernel.
Problems on the install also, not able to set/install grub2.
Solution: live boot with gparted and format the boot sector to MBR of the Nvme disk
