virt-install does not detect disk

i’m typing virt-install --prompt to install paravirtualized centos.

trouble are when try to format disk, error is: No usable disks have been found.

kernel are 2.6.37.6-0.11-xen

¿any idea?

I don’t know what might be wrong, but you did not say much about your setup. I must assume you are using openSUSE 11.4? I found a KVM setup guide for 11.4 you can follow here:

openSUSE 11.4 - vm installation guide

And here are some other KVM links to follow…

Virtualization with KVM

Perhaps something there will be helpful to you.

Thank You,

Q -
Are you trying to create your disk in the tool’s default location likely on physical Disk 0 or are you pointing to an a location on another physical disk?
