video not working!

Hello guys,
I installed opensuse 11.0 lately, everything was working fine but after sometime my none of the videos were working at all. this includes all video files, webcam stream…etc.
all I can see when I open one of the videos is a blue screen. please note that this was not the case when i first installed opensuse 11.0.

I suspect that I need to install the i810 driver to replace the intel one but I don’t really know how to do this, changing the xorg.conf doesn’t work.

here are my spec.
laptop hp compaq 6720s
graphics card: intel 965 GME/GLE

any ideas?

Thanks,
Bassel

It’s possible that you merely changed your video engine output
away from x11 (Xshm) to xv (Xvideo). Change it back to
x11/XShm… Not sure what player you’re using… but you’ll
find the option in there somewhere (chances are).

Not everyone needs Xvideo support.

thanks, it’s now working. however, still the webcam stream on skype generates only blue screen. is there like a general system wide option to turn the video engine output to X11, including this from my webcam?

thanks,
