Video freezes in fullscreen, works fine in window

Hello,

I am facing issues with videos playback recently after the kde plasma update to 6.6, though I am not sure if that has anything to do with the freezes or not. The video randomly freezes and stays that way for some time unless I move my mouse or change volume after which the video plays normally but freezes shortly after again. I have tried mpv and vlc (rpm packages) and for codes, I am using the pacman-essentials repo as is stated in the wiki, and this is happening on both. Interestingly, this is only happening if the player is in fullscreen and works fine in window. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration as well but no change.

After some debugging I was able to figure out that hardware acceleration was not working on vlc for some reason and I was not able to make it work. I installed the flatpak version and hardware acceleration is working fine there now and there is no freezing there as well. Guess I will use the flatpak version for now.
