video flickers when under compiz

I have a minor irritation with compiz. Everything works fine except when I play video, open a chat camera etc. It’s only with motion files. Ah, google earth too.
When plaid, film flickers a lot.

When I change to KWin, works normally.

I have ATI x2300, but when I downloaded driver, about month ago, there were no driver for my card (all was below this number), so I just downloaded the higest x1… driver.

my system: ASUS pro50 laptop, ATI x2300, openSUSE 11.0

Any ideas?
Thanks

Ive seen many people having the same issue with compiz and ATI cards.
Unfortunatelly i havent seen any solution for this, other than disabling compiz when palying video files.

hum… that is awkward…
maybe with some next update…

I had this problem only since my change from Ubuntu 8.04 (worked fine) to Ubuntu 8.10 beta with a new Compiz. I wonder if this is an additional hint for problem-solvers? …
I now have a compiz version 1:0.7.8ubuntu4 installed,

FYI: I have the x1300 i.o. x2300

Add the following to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf,section “Device”:

Option "TexturedVideo" "Off"
