video driver assistent: suse 11 X Opensuse

Hello guys!
I tested the installation of Suse11sp4 and realized that after installing the OS, he performed a wizard that detected my video card (NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT), dropped some packets (can not remember which) and concluded.

My question is, as I’m sure my KDE in 13.2 Opensuse detected my card correctly? only the lspci command?

01: 00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G96M [GeForce 9600M GT] (rev a1).

How to make sure that my KDE is using the best of my Nvidia ??

thanks.

Install the propitiatory NVIDA driver.

oh wait you are running SLES NOT openSUSE You are at the wrong forum

Same password as here

He was trying it with SLES (and mentioned that here, creating your confusion). He wants to know what to do on openSUSE 13.2. Thus thi is in the correct place

That’s it!
“I tested the Suse11” but I use Opensuse 13.2.
I liked the wizard that appears, detects the graphics card and install packages …
I thought there would be a similar wizard to the Opensuse. - (I would like to see this wizard also running in Opensuse!)

Well, I found this page: https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA_drivers
here I had what I needed.

I hope this post can help someone…

Thank you, Henk van Velden!

Most people here never used or saw SLE. Thus your stories about it are not very enlightening. Better concentrate on your problem in relation to openSUSE.
