Video Conversion Software Needed

I need to rip the audio track of some *.m4v video files to MP3. Can anyone recommend a way to do this in OpenSuse?

I have tried audiokonverter from the Packman repo and have had problems getting it to run.

Thanks for the help.

Update:

Got audiokonverter working  , but am still interested in some other alternatives.

Thanks.

oldcpu is your man here
maybe he will reply

I use Perl Audio Converter (pacpl), which is packaged by PackMan.

It used to be one could have either audiokonverter or pacpl, but not both, installed (there were dependency issues when attempting to install both). I do not know if that is still the case.

Thanks for the warning about dependencies. I ran into that with audiokonverter because I had some packages missing. Audiokonverter worked quite well for what I needed to do. The freshly ripped soundtracks are now on an MP3 player.

i always highly recommend avidemux.
