this has been an issue for months, i’ve searched the forums and reddit but nobody ever seems to mention this.
hovering the icon usualy makes brings back the normal icon icon, but that doesn’t seem to apply in every case

Do not see this on any Tumbleweed machine. You are using the detailed view? The size slider at the bottom of the dolphin window works? The preview size setting matches the icon size setting (dolphin settings)? Did you try to reproduce the issue with a fresh user profile?
i only use the detailed view mode, but the issue also appears with the other viewing modes
the size slider does work, but that only changes the scaling, the icons remain small and scale with the setting while remaining small in this state
i didn’t try a new user profile

i don’t think im terrible with search engine but i couldn’t find any topic covering that topic 
apparently it’s fixed in dolphin 24.12.3 and the current release ver is 24.12.2, i guess it’s just a matter of time then
