I decided to try vegastrike and it will not start. I get the following messages from the terminal:

What do I need to do to get it to work?
Did you install from games repo ?
I don’t see vegastrike in the games repo and I do see it in the main repo. Here’s the absolute url
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.2/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/vegastrike-0.5.1.r1-2.1.4.x86_64.rpm
So no, I did not install it from the packman games repo.
By the way, what diference does it make? I still have a problem using it regardless of the repo I got it from.
I think you have not configured community repos in YaST.
Kindly do that and you will understand the difference.
Linux games in openSUSE generally have a game package and data package
The data package for this is missing in main repos
I am not talking about packman games repo.
I did not install the game yet. You may get it working if you installed from games repo
