Vectoring, anybody?

Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone here is good at vectoring, say, using Inkscape. I’m working on a template in Photoshop and I’ve gotten to a point where I want to add icons, such as edit, delete, write, search, etc. and I thought it would be a good idea, due to the small size, and the fact that I’ve never done it before, to use a vectoring program. So, my question is: does anyone here use Inkscape and use it often? If so, would anyone be willing to give a quick tutorial on the basics of vectoring, or some pointers on where to start? Nothing big, just some simple tips.

…Plus, I thought it would be a good place to discuss vectoring in th general…
