/var/tmp/var/tmp is this normal?

Is it normal to have /var/tmp/var/tmp folder, or is something gone wrong with my system?

I thought that; something that gone wrong might have mistakingly creating that instead of writing to /var/tmp file.

I have it too, but empty. Isn’t there where some database files default to? Maybe some app that create them (like Mythtv or xbmc) have it wrong. The directories are dated October/2009, which is about when I tried Mythtv IINM.

I have it too. Empty. Date: jan 2 2010. Did not use Myhtv. Probably a mistake by someone. But why worry?

I worried about it, because I thought it might be symptom of a problem. But, since you guys all have it and there seems to be no problem, I believe there is no problem to have it.

Well, it is not bad that you detect these sort of things. And checking with fellow users is a good thing to do.

I am with as you think it is an error somewhere. When yo could find out which software does make it, you could file a bug there. But as it is a harmless place, just leave it end enjoy openSUSE :slight_smile: .
