Vaio VPCEA3C4E: Touchpad doesn't work at all!

The synaptics touchpad on my laptop doesn’t work at all in Linux.
Right now, I have OpenSUSE 11.3 KDE installed. If I try to edit the touchpad settings in “keyboard and mouse”, the window shows an alert symbol and says, ’ Warning: Touchpad configuration is not supported on this system. The synaptics driver is either not loaded or too old. Refer to the documentation for information about the required driver version.’ I don’t know where to find the driver. The touchpad didn’t work under Ubuntu, too, but it works with Windows.
I wanted to add the result from hardware information, but it seems like my browser (Firefox) won’t allow me to paste it…

Any help will really be appreciated. I don’t know where to put my hands!
