Trying to load on an old Compaq Presario 1275 currently running OpenSuse
10.0. I’m getting “Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!”
The last half-dozen boot messages are as follows;
Clocksource tsx unstable (delta = 96017174ms)
Using IPI No-Shortcut mode
registered taskstats version 1
Freeing unused kernel memeory: 316k freed
Write protecting the kernel text:2344k
Write protecting the kernel read-only data: 1768k
Input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard
as /devices/platform/i8042/serio0/input/input0
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Any ideas or is the laptop so old that I’m just plumb out of luck with this

Do you meet the minimum requirements to run 11.1
What are your hardware stats?
