V11.1 a quick question

Congrats to all for a flawless V11.1 install but a question has arisen.

I have 2 hard drives, OpenSuse installed on 1, and XP on the other.
It’s probably me being a noob but V11.1 has locked me out from accessing
the other hard drive which contains all my media and backup stuff. I get
a ‘PermissionDeniedByPolicy’ error. This never happened with V10.3 or
V11.0 Opensuse. I must admit to only using KDE3.5 before so this KDE4
stuff is pretty new to me.

Regards

Thanks for the quick reply. I figured out i had to use File Manager
Super User Mode to access the hard drive. The problem i have now is i
cannot get Amarok to access my music libraries on the other hard drive
as there is no amarok super user mode. For the moment it looks like i’ll
have to copy across my music to OpenSuse to play it.

I just know there is another stupidily easy answer to get Amorok to
play direct off of my other drive, but for the moment the answer escapes
me.

Thanks again

The mount point (and of course all de dires and files you need inside
the mounted fs) should be accessible by normal users.

Code:

chmod a+rx <mountdir>

(as root) coud be enough.
