using Wireshark in SUSE Enterprise

Dear all,

I’m new user here and starting to use Linux, so I don’t know so much about this OS.
I work with telecom system, and I need to integrate my NGN core with some Linux servers, so I should like to install Wireshark to make some analisys in my system.
My server is using SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9, and looking for informations in Internet I saw something abou APT, but I don’t know how to install this one, to install Wireshark after.
I made my first analisys using tcpdump command, but I’d like to install keep Wireshark in servers to turn analisys easier and faster.
Someone could help me, about how to install apt?
Thank in advanced.

A couple notes to possibly help. First, SLES and SLED have their own
forums under ‘novell.support.sles.’ and 'novell.support.sled.’,
respectively.

Second, ‘ethereal’ is available in SLED easily and will give you most of
what you need. Otherwise you won’t want to use ‘apt’ to install
anything since the packages are not compatible at all (by default,
without mangling) with RPMs, which is what SUSE-based distributions use.

Good luck.
