Using the "free" tool

I just created a new wiki page describing how to read the values when you run “free.”

Recently we/I’ve been recommending “free” to Users who are experiencing problems they may blame on lack of memory.

Free is a quick and easy way to display some essential metrics to understand how memory is currently being used…
But, it occurred to me that the the displayed values may not be interpreted or understood correctly.

eg. Is the “Mem free” value" really the amount of available unused memory?
Just what is that “-/+” on the second line supposed to mean?

Although I may re-work the explanation if it’s still not clear, the following should explain what is displayed so the User can understand what is happening

Am planning a similar small page on how to read cpu loads which in combination with this can be the basis for basic troubleshooting and optimizing.
