Hi Svyatco,
Once again you have explained my concerns. So it appears that I had already made the USB connection without knowing what I was doing.
Do you have any advice concerning trying to run the upgrade tools with the NVMe ram set up on PCi or should I try and run the upgrade without the NVMe installed?

Will the upgrade tools detect all that needs to be upgraded automagically?

Perform update/upgrade without too new hardware - NVMe among that.

Yes, good advice. I had already removed all the new components but am thinking I may need to go to a simpler OS and file system, install the upgrades on it and then install the more recent stuff. Still strugling with this.
