Using net install with wireless card

Hi, I am wondering if I can install openSUSE 11.2 using the net install with a wireless card. I would just use the dvd installation method, but I do not have any blank dvds available.

It would depend on whether the netinstall CD has the driver for your wireless card and whether it can be set up in the installer. I don’t know since I’ve always done netinstalls over wired Ethernet.

If needed I could move my computer for a day to a ethernet connection, but I would naturally prefer just to install it from the comfort of my room.

I do NET installs over wireless all the time. The requirements are the
wireless driver built into the installation kernel, and no external
firmware to be loaded. The boot kernel will ask for your ESSID,
encryption type, and the encryption secret.
