When I use nano (which is included in 15.5) it refuses to close (CTL+x). What’s the point of including it if it doesn’t work. How about any similar (simple) editor that works for root? No not Kate, a simple CLI editor.
I use nano as my text editor. I am having no issue with closing (ctl-x).; leap 15.5. No issue as user or as root.
Tried a reinstall??
Could you be hitting shift instead of ctl?

Can you clarify further here? Upon pressing CTRL +X, you should be presented with the following dialogue
What is not working for you? Are you trying to write to root-owned files?
Sorry. A sticky CTL key. Keyboard not used for 6 months. Problem solved.
Ok, thanks for the update.
