Using a specific mirror as a repo to use unmetered content

Hi fellas nice distro
What I am trying to figure out is that although internode is listed as a mirror for OpenSUSE 11.2 there is a long list of URL’s
on the internode server site for SUSE however none seem suitable
to use as a repo. I need to be able to use unmetered content.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
No, they are suitable;

For oss add;
<http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/opensuse/distribution/11.2/repo/oss/>

For non-oss add;
<http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/opensuse/distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/>

For updates add;
<http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/opensuse/update/11.2/>

Just disable the download.opensuse.org ones.

thank you Malcolm,this reply is very much appreciated.

I used to do that and it works fine although I haven’t bothered recently because with Internode’s EasyBroadband 50Gb monthly download allowance whatever I might pull from the repos makes little dent in it. It is diabolically fast though which is an argument in favour!
On another but related note, and especially as you’re concenred about download quota: have you managed to make any of the Internode Usage Meters work in Linux? MUM claims to run under Wine but I haven’t had any success with it yet…
