Haha, yes it does. What a wonderful query bug.

interesting!
happens here also…clicking on -cyrus- zooms to cyrus157’s profile…
seems maybe the sw is not setup to handle special characters and/or
case very well…
begin a search by typing “cyru” and the system offers cyrus157 and
Cyrus1911 but no “-cyrus”…and, the system doesn’t accept wild card
searches…that is searching on “yrus” finds none though it should
(apparently) find these three, at least:
cyrus157
Cyrus1911
-cyrus-
apparently whoever designed the user id system wasn’t very conversant
in the idea that “c”, “C”, “-c” and “-C” are four very different
strings…

Give a hacker a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach regular expressions and you feed him for a lifetime.

Looks like a query bug in the UI; looking at it from the moderator
interface, I can search on your ID without an issue.
I’ll raise it with the technical administrator to escalate to the
software developers.

It’s a bug in the software with a user ID starting with a non
alpha-numeric character. My option is to edit the user. Advise if you
want me to do so.

Not a problem.
NZCyrus will be fine. If you can convert and do the needful, great. Just let me know how to login with my new credentials, as I presume you’ll be changing my password as well.
Thanks.
Hey -cyrus-:
>NZCyrus
I’ll make that change when I get a free moment. Your password and
everything else will remain the same. Just be aware when you can’t login
with this current ID you should try the new one. Email me at kgroneman at
novell dot com if I happen to bungle it for you and neither ID works. No
worries though…I NEVER make mistakes…
