Usenet downloader required

Hello everybody,

In the past when i was using *buntu i was using NNTPGrab as my primary Usenet download tool since it is easy to use and almost idiot-proof :nerd:.
NNTPGrab is also avail;able for OpenSuse, but not higher than for OpenSuse 21.1… My question is: can i still use this version for my OpenSuse version 12.2?

If not, which program is a good replacement for NNTPGrab?

Before everybody starts suggesting programs, i think it is more fair to provide a reasonable and good answer to my first question…
