When I put a flash drive in a U.S.B. port, nothing shows up and so I’m unable to access the files. Where can I find troubleshooting suggestions?
Hi,
Wich version of openSUSE? GNOME or KDE?

this should get you started:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aopensuse.org+USB+problem+OR+trouble+OR+“can’t+see”+OR+“can+not+use”

if you need to ask more, please tell us your operating system/version,
desktop environment, if it is all fully updated, if you are having
other problems, and something about your hardware and Linux/Unix
experience…(i say that because if you are using 11.3 with KDE4
when you stick the device in it should pop up a dialog asking what
you wanna do with the drive…but, if you are using 10.1 and xfce it
might not, and the suggestions you get here, will therefore be
different…)

has it always been this way, or did it suddenly stop doing as i
earlier described?
have you just installed 11.3 fresh, or did you upgrade from an older
version? was it working as i described in the earlier version?
if a fresh install, did you do this to check your install media:
