Hi,
I recently installed openSUSE 11.2 and am experiencing problems with connecting hardware devices to the USB ports. SUSE doesn’t seem to recognize them easily. At first my camera could not be detected but after changing some of its settings it worked fine. Now I am stuck getting my mouse to work. It’s a Saitek mouse, Model No.: M-188 and the laptop is Thinkpad R61.
What should I do to fix it?

Erm, nevermind. I found this : SDB:Mouse does not work in X11 - openSUSE, typed in init 3 as instructed, then I was prompted to log in (username, password)…I got confused at first, then logged in, thought I wasn’t at the right place, so I restarted the computer and after that the mouse was working…
If anyone has any idea why what I did fixed the problem, or at least what might have been causing this problem, please tell.
