USB keyboard unresponsive at times

I am running Tumbleweed updated to the latest Snapshot. I have noticed several times in the past few weeks my keybotrd (logitech wireless) becomes unresponsive at times. It has happened in an xterm, and in firefox. If I wait anywhere from a minute to 3 or 4 minutes the keyboard becomes responsive again…usually what happens is whaever characters I have type suddenly appear. Keyboard battery is new.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to start debugging ?

Thanks

This could be occurring due to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or Blueooth interference. Are you using a desktop PC or laptop?

If using a PC (as opposed to a laptop), try moving the Logitech receiver to a front USB port, or use a short USB extension cable to bring it closer to the keyboard, if applicable. If you’re in control of your local Wi-Fi environment, try temporarily turning off the Wi-Fi (or change to 5 GHz only) and see if it improves.

If using a laptop, USB autosuspend and Bluetooth coexistence issues are more common as underlying causes. Also, if a dongle is plugged into the laptop’s side USB 3.0 port, this can sometimes cause issues as the high-speed data transfer can cause noise across the 2.4GHz band as well when storage devices are connected for example. This may (or may not) be applicable to your situation.

More details might help us provide further specific advice.

I am on a desktop PC. I moved the Logitech receiver to the front and the problem seems to have disappeared. I never had WiFI running so that could not have been the problem or part of it. We’ll see if the problem is fixed. It was only happening intermittently so at this point it’s hard to tall. Thanks.
