USB keyboard and mouse woes OpenSUSE 12.3

Hoping someone here has experience with this issue and might be able to shed some light on it.

OpenSUSE 12.3, running KDE great on a netbook. After various updates, USB keyboard and mouse have become unusable as there appears to be a “suspend or resume” issue taking place as I experience a huge lagging delaywith both devices. After testing multiple mice and keyboards, I’ve determined it’s not a hardware thing. When typing on the USB keyboard, most keys are ignored and only some respond at all. With the mouse, it takes at least 30 seconds of anxious movement to “wake it” from its slumber.

Logs aren’t showing anything odd and Google queries lack anything of value thus far.

My gut tells me this could be a systemd or kernel bug, but I’m not sure.

OpenSUSE 12.3 fully patched running KDE
Kernel 3.7.10-1.1-default
ASUS Eee 1005HA netbook
Keyboard and mouse delayed response make both devices unusable.
Touchpad and built-in keyboard work fine.

Never mind, found fix. Is there a way to mark this as resolved?

Have laptop-mode-tools installed?
If so you need to add the IDs of your devices (to be found withlsusb) to the blacklist in /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/usb-autosuspend.conf
